1. Maria La Gorda Beach, Pinar del Rio<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Located at the western end of Cuba, it is the largest dive site in the country along with the Isla de la Juventud, so if you are a scuba diver, you will find here a diving area populated by beautiful and colorful reefs. It has more than 50 dive sites with abundant marine life, colorful corals, tunnels, caves and even the remains of Spanish galleons, making it one of the most exciting dive sites in the Western Hemisphere. Between June and August, there is a high probability of turtle sightings on the southern beaches, where green turtles come to nest.
PS: Mar\u00eda la Gorda (\u201cFat Mary\u201d) is named after a plump slave who was supposedly brought here by Spanish pirates in the 17th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
